In honor of this month, the Brooklyn Museum announced their new exhibit. It’s called the Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys and it’s opened until July 7, 2024. What better way to celebrate Black History Month and attend First Saturdays, but also get tickets for this new exhibition.
The Brooklyn Public Library presents The Book of HOV, an installation created by Roc Nation to celebrate the life and work of Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter. Not only is he married to my good sis, Beyoncé, he’s also one of my favorite artists.
The exhibition features more than 300 of Lee’s artifacts, from objects that inspired or were used in his movies, to behind-the-scenes photographs or on-set stills, and artworks from his personal collection that celebrate Black culture.
