I started the journey to gain dual citizenship in my mother’s homeland of Antigua, with its sky blue waters and white sandy beaches and it has been a journey. I'm writing this so people learn from my mistakes.
Saint Barthelemy, which is a French-speaking Caribbean island commonly known as St. Barts, is known for its white-sand beaches and designer shops. Gustavia is the capital.
Antigua holds a special place in my heart. My mom’s side is from here and I hadn’t been back since I was 7-years-old. It was really good seeing family and catching up with them. I’ve realized I need to make this trip a little more often and not wait another 27 years to go.
