Black-Owned Eateries In Brooklyn
Hello Brooklyn!
I wanted to share some of my favorite places to dine at in Brooklyn. A lot of them are Carribean restaurants. Rightfully so, since that is my background and I always want to support. These eateries hold a special place in my heart because the service and food have been amazing.
Please keep in mind that vaccination cards will be needed for indoor dining with the new rules due to COVID. You can sit outside if you’re unvaccinated.
Check them out below and happy dining! 🍴
Imani’s Caribbean Kitchen & Bar
Gotta love stumbling upon new restaurants in BK. I had never heard of Imani’s, but I was intrigued to find out what their vibe was like. I must say, we spent the rest of our Sunday in there. #SundayFunday

Kokomo NYC
Kokomo has been on my LIST for months! You have to book them early. Don’t even think about trying to do a walk-in because they will turn you away. The hype of this restaurant deserves a round of applause. The music blasting out on the street, the service and let’s not forget about how good the food was.

The Rogers Garden
If you’re looking for a quick drink, then this can be your “go to.” Majority of the venue is outside. The owner has a small bar inside as well, but you get more of the ambiance outside in the garden. Depending on what day you go, they have live bands or a DJ.

Sweet Brooklyn Bar
I have been here a few times at night, but never to brunch until now. Norstrand Ave. is a pretty busy street which attracts a lot of people to this venue. The food was OK, but if you’re looking for a good party vibe then this would be good.

Suede Restaurant
Suede’s sister restaurant is Carribean Social. Both restaurants are good. I’ve never been disappointed by the food when I go.

Soco BK
Clinton Hill is one of my favorite areas in BK. I think I have lost track of how many times I’ve been to Soco. I’ve tried everything on this menu and you will not be disappointed.
