Labor Day Weekend in D.C.

This past Labor Day, I decided to switch it up and do something different. I am usually on the parkway in Brooklyn or Antigua Day with the family every year. I think they were lowkey confused on why I was not coming to the carnival festivities. Sometimes you gotta switch it up.

All roads led to Washington D.C. and we had a time as usual. I was determined to party on someone’s boat this summer. Issa Rae’s Yacht Sh!t has truly inspired me. That was the focus!

Of course, we went to places like The Park at 14th, Smoke and Mirrors, Throw Social DC, Eaton DC and MGM Hotel at the National Harbor. Smoke and Mirrors has the best food if you’re looking for cute vibes. Throw Social D.C. didn’t have the best food. However, it was like another Dave and Busters with a club if you’re looking to play games and just hang out. Honestly, the highlight of this trip was renting a catamaran for a 2-hour tour. It was giving Real Housewives of Potomac if you ask me. It was the perfect way to end the summer and to just do something different for once. Our captain was a James Bond impersonator! He looks just like him! LOL We packed food and drinks or you can book catering through him. He has a speaker for your music and he even let us drive the boat!
