Glimmerstone Mansion in Vermont
Back in June, before I left for my worldwide tour to Cali, I got a chance to witness the union of my godsister, Janelle and her wife, Catlin. They got married at the Glimmerstone Mansion in Cavendish, Vermont.
It is a wedding barn venue and vacation rental that has several bedrooms, a kitchen, bathrooms, and extra spacing for leisure. It’s one of those hidden gems that you just have to see for yourself. The venue host wedding receptions, events, and retreats. They got married in the backyard of the mansion and their reception was held in a beautifully decorated barn across the lawn.
This was my first time in Vermont and of course, I wanted to do a little bit of exploring during our weekend of celebrations. Vermont is known for more of their outdoor activities such as skiing, kayaking and camping.
We stayed at the Pointe Castle Hill which is a 3 minute drive from the mansion. This hotel is also a ski-friendly lodging location. We stumbled upon Murdocks On The Green for dinner which was not too far from our hotel. The reviews for their food was a 5 star rating and it lived up to its expectations. For breakfast, we ate at Crows Bakery & Opera House Cafe. They have fresh baked good, sweet treats and other breakfast favorites. The prices were very reasonably and my omelette was on point.
If you are looking for a quick weekend outdoors, then Vermont would be perfect for you.
