Long Island Eats

I created a listicle of places to eat in Long Island since I feel like I don’t show this part of New York enough love. I really am a city girl at heart now. Can you blame me? I’ve had the opportunity this year to really take a moment and explore Long Island with friends and family. Here are my suggestions on where to eat in Long Island if you want to take a break from traveling to the city. Read more below and happy dining! 🍱

Brownstone Cafe

Brownstone Cafe has a few locations in Long Island. I’ve been to the Amityville and Centereach locations. You can check their website for more information. This is one of my favorite places to brunch at on Long Island. Make sure you book a reservation because they’re always booked!

Restoration Kitchen and Cocktails

Restoration Kitchen and Cocktails is located in Lindenhurst. You can enjoy indoor dining, outdoor deck, take out and/or you can order online. I like this spot for the summer time since you can eat outside. Overall, the food and service was good!

Besitos Mexican Restaurant

Besitos Mexican Restaurant has a few locations in Long Island. I’ve been to the Islip location. I tried an enchilada and didn’t really know what to expect. I know everyone makes them differently. I wasn’t too fond of all the red sauce either, but I went again and chose something different the second time and preferred the fajita much better. Besitos also has really good drinks. Book them in advance since they’re always crowded! Spacing is kind of tight as well.

Pecado Mexican Restaurant

Pecado Mexican Restaurant is located in Bay Shore in the village. This area is great for bar hopping as well since it’s on a strip. The steak fajitas came out sizzling hot which was pretty cool. Drinks and service were amazing as well.
